要開server你就最好用command line
唔好graphical,
裝ubuntu 8.04LTS
自己用apt-get去安裝 apache, php同mysql
唔好一開始選lamp@@

我唔會用redhat
另一個係freebsd
佢都係一個非常好的CHOICE

咁當然有分別啦
linux的真正定義我都唔係好清楚, 好多含糊
或者english個wiki會比較正確
但ubuntu係debian, 所以有好多command係唔同的
個人有用佢個server platform, 覺得玩command line真係好快樂:titter: :titter:  唔駛怕會lagg哈哈

apt-get其實我從來都唔見住佢d concept
但佢個key word係 get

所以安裝完第一件事會做係
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install vim-full

我鍾意用vim editor, 好用好多 xDDD

之後再get install AMP個堆野
apache, php, mysql
我個人唔鍾意lamp因為佢好似會安裝好多可能唔需要用到既野

=.=咁其實apt-get系咩黎

只不過係佢個command的一部份
個重點係 get呢個字
類似一個download的request

sudo = 使用root的authority
sudo apt-get xxxxx
我依家要用root的權限, 去get某個package^^

apt-get係短寫黎

而且佢只係用係ubuntu呢類debian linux

仲有好多common既, 例如 rm -rf,  mv dir1 dir2,  cd, sudo chmod xyz
仲有其他例如tar command
tar czvf
tar tzvf
總知, 你學一學d command你會發現點解d人會love linux
雖然graphic的operation都其實係command-operated, 但係你會更加in love with command
唔會lag, 仲會好爽^^

你要打開個terminal
你依家用緊的係graphic, 但唔緊要, 打開個terminal
試下

sudo apt-get update
同sudo apt-get upgrade
你會開始慢慢愛上command line
個人意見, 若想玩好server
就狠心地一下子直接裝command line的server版本
我都係咁樣兩日就學識左好多basic commands!
足以夠我平日用!

Suggest use SuSE or Fedora Core.
Ubuntu is quite hard to install packages beccause its security setting!!

我個人唔建議用ubuntu
因為我之前SET左一部SERVER....差唔多一日要REBOOT一次.....好唔穩定
而debian我用左幾個禮拜都冇REBOOT過,好穩

其實ubuntu好, fedora好都係好主觀

以前我記得我會笑人地用windows做佢的operating system黎跑server platform
最緊要係要keep 住維護, 同埋你的web content真係好, 咁跑邊個都冇問題^^"

同意,對Unix / Linux / Windows有深入認識,注意系統安全,做好系統管理,乜野Linux / Unix / Windows拿上手都好用!
睇個人功力o者,功力唔夠,個OS會飛天都無用!
